About Me...

My most vivid and enjoyable memories involve crayons, markers, and those dime store water colors. As an adult, more practical matters of family and work took priority. But life has a way of constantly and drastically evolving; and suddenly (it seems), the luxury of time to study, practice, and explore a life-long dream has become much more affordable.

It has gradually become clear that painting is about the amazing process of creating, more so than the end-result, and the creative possibilities are endless. This and other similar discoveries have been liberating, and painting has truly become an adventure.

Currently, I live in Landisville, Pennsylvania, and work out of my home studio. I also work full-time at Millersville University and have been fortunate to study painting and drawing there.

Commissioning a Painting...

I accept commissions for pet paintings and any other ideas you may have for custom original works of art. Simply contact me with your ideas and questions, or email me your digital images.

Reference photos for pet portraits work best if they are taken in natural light (flash photos tend to be very difficult to work with). Also, dramatic light and shadows and/or interesting backgrounds, expressions, and poses work well.

  • Custom and larger sizes are also available.
  • Adding additional figures (pets or people) is always a lot of fun, but will require a customized quote.

  • I also welcome commissioned landscape paintings.

If you have an idea, let's talk about it!
