A Collie Painting... and other good stuff

Cody, the Collie

Fluffy, hairy dogs are just plain fun to paint. Crank up the music, load up the brush and go at it. As long as the face is right, there isn't too much that can go wrong with the rest!

The thing that strikes me most when people want to have their dog painted is that they're not looking for cool wall art. They're investing in something way more - dare I say "spiritual" - than that. Cody's mama (so sweet) said it pretty simply: "If I can do this, that would make me very happy because I feel he is the best dog in the world."

Big Show Update...

Last week I received a request for a painting, someone who was hoping their dogs could also be a part of this project, and she mentioned she is a graphic designer by profession. Turns out she has been an active volunteer for the Humane League, and she wondered if I would I like her to donate her design skills for postcards and flyers? Would I?? In no time she put together about 6 different flyers and 12 different postcards to choose from. Within a week I had placed my order. Check these out...
