This is Maui! I've been wanting to try these new acrylics I had picked up a couple of weeks ago. The main difference between acrylic and oil paints is that acrylic paints typically dry fast. In fact, it only takes a few minutes for them to dry.
This is great for layering paint, bad for blending (and bad for brushes if you let them lay out for a few minutes - they're pretty much toast). The nice thing is it forces you to work fast and be a bit more loose.
I thought Maui was the perfect subject for playing around with some acrylics for a change. What do you think?
