Midnight, Candy, and the Museum of Bad Art

Midnight

This is Midnight, a tiny Pomeranian/Eskimo mix. Midnight came to his home about five years ago to fill the canine void left when his female predecessor passed away. With a wife, two daughters and a mother-in-law in the household (even the cat is female), the only male in the house was adamant that this dog be male!

Candy

The Candy Factory is a brand new co-working space in Lancaster. This concept has been widely successful in other urban areas, but this is a first ever for Lancaster city. Co-working provides free lance professionals a place to work and collaborate in a common area and helps to build a sense of community among people who might typically work alone from home or local coffee shops. You can learn more about The Candy Factory here.

Last evening during First Friday in Lancaster, the Candy Factory held their grand opening. Thanks to some great marketing by its members, the event was a huge success. I was very fortunate play a part by exhibiting seven of my paintings there last night. It was so much fun, and most importantly, it gave me a chance to practice "talking" about my art with friends and a lot of other amazing people.

The Museum of Bad Art (MOBA)

As if I wasn't paranoid enough... a friend told me of a story on NPR yesterday about the Museum of Bad Art (or MOBA if you prefer) in Boston. Now I'm really hoping some of my paintings won't end up there. Then again, bad publicity is still publicity, right?
