The Beamer (a.k.a Wonder Dog)

Allow me the pleasure of introducing you to Beamer, (the Beam). This little guy is amazing!

 Beamer's owner, Christine, tells me that Beamer "is a 7+ year old Shih Tzu.  Beamer is both a therapy dog and an Animal Assisted Crisis Response dog - currently the only one east of Erie in PA.  He loves people and FlyBall and Agility.  When I meet other Shih Tzu owners they are surprised that this little guy does all that, but put a ball in front of his face and he is off!  At this time we are focusing on Therapy and Crisis Response work. He shares a house with 5 rescued felines !!!!"

 

I had been trying to figure out a color scheme for this painting all day. I was frustrated with what I had started with yesterday. In an email today, Christine mentioned that she felt Beamer was more green and blue..."laid back when we are visiting but when you put those tennis balls out there then he sort of turns well....possessive...???? :-)"

 

So of course I went with green and blue! I had to completely scrape and wipe off what I had, but it was the best move I could have made.

 

I'm still touching this one up a bit ... there are a few small problem areas here and there. But I pretty much love him.
