While You Were Sleeping

I have a photographer friend, Adrian Gibbs, who, due in part to a dysfunctional relationship with sleep, will often be out at the crack of dawn in subzero temperatures catching the fog as the world is just beginning to light up. These photos are usually shared with a simple caption: "While you were sleeping..."

This morning I was up at 5 a.m. working out this painting. It's always been my favorite time of day. So in Adrian's honor, I'd like to so title this work.
